February 2013
SUNJAY BRAYNE
Sunjay, a very talented up-and-coming young acoustic performer, has just joined the agency. Sunjay loves the blues and cites influences as diverse as Buddy Holly, Mark Knopfler, Steve Tilston and Chris Smither. Musically mature, both vocally and instrumentally, he's a faultless guitar player (well he did start at the age of four!) |
February 2013
ZULU TRADITION
Congratulations to Zulu Tradition on being selected as finalists in the South African Achievers' Awards |
January 2013
Sad to lose Blast from the Past from the agency roster. They're going back to doing all their own agency work now they've given up the day jobs and gone full time as performers. I wish them every success. All gigs forward-booked through me to Christmas 2013 will be supported by the agency, of course. |
October 2012
APRIL VERCH BAND
I first met April back in 1998 in Memphis at a Folk Alliance Conference. She was causing such a buzz for one so young. Now she's more than fulfilled that promise and I'm looking forward to welcoming her, her fantastic band and her step-dancing, fiddling, singing back to the UK. |
August 2012
UNION JILL
Thank you Clive Gregson for introducing me to Union Jill, a fabulous female songwriting duo (harmony vocals, guitar, mandola, concertina) from York who are on the verge of great things. With a new album on the stocks, produced by Clive, this is a duo teetering on the brink of national recognition and I'm delighted to work with them. |

ZULU Tradition
Congratulations to Zulu Tradition for being selected for the Live and Local and the Shindig Community touring schemes 2012-2013. There's now a new video gallery here. |
June 2012
RITCHIE-PARRISH-RITCHIE
I'm so excitied. Steve Ritchie, Al Parrish and Rob Ritchie, 3/5 of Tanglefoot, have announced plans to do a UK trio tour in May-June 2013. Wheee! I can hardy wait, and judging by the early rush to book dates, neither can their fans. |
June 2012
AL PARRISH
Al's 2012 tour was a great success. He'll be back next year with Ritchie-Parrish-Ritchie and also with a short solo tour. |
March 2012
Jacey Bedford Tour Management is pleased to support the Folk21 Yorkshire Day at The Music Room, Cleckheaton with an agency stand and participation in panels. |
November 2011
JAMES KEELAGHAN
It's with regret that the agency says goodbye to James Keelaghan, fabulous artist and good friend. James will be giving major UK touring a miss for the next couple of years because he's just been appointed as Festival Director of Summerfolk Festival in Owen Sound, Ontario - my very favourite Ontario Folk Festival from my Artisan days. Congratulations on your new post, James. We'll miss you.

ZULU TRADITION
Zulu Tradition is pleased to welcome Bongi Siyabonga Gwala to the troupe from October 2011. Bongi joins the group from Durban, South Africa, though he's worked with all all of the guys before and has toured the UK several times with other groups. Bongi replaces Zama Siphengana as a permanent cast member. |
September 2011
ISAMBARDE
Isambarde retire at the end of September after a planned final year. Catch them while you can. Chris Green and Jude Rees remain with JBTM as part of Blast From the Past's Christmas shows, Victorian (2011), Medieval (2012 and onwards). |
May 2011
ARTISAN
Artisan came out of retirement on May 18th for one night only to take part in the 'Night for Norma', a fundraiser for Norma Waterson, at the Square Chapel in Halifax. |
February 2011
VIN GARBUTT
I have long admired Vin Garbutt, the man and the music. His singing, his songs (some self written and some carefully chosen) and his wit and wisdom that has audiences rolling in the aisles from Aberdeen to Adelaide. It is with very great pleasure that I welcome him to the agency. |
December 2010
I'm so excited. Tanglefoot's bassist and chocolate-voiced singist, Al Parrish, can come over from Canada to do a solo tour in May 2012. Al, 2
guitars and a great big standup bass, that is. i saw him playing in London
Ontario last August when I was in Canada with Artisan and I have no
reservations about bringing him back to the UK to tour solo. He's got a
wide, eclectic repertoire, including some Tanglefoot songs. I know his tour
is going to be well-supported by Tanglefoot fans, of course. Dates are
already booking, so don't delay. |
